Peppermint.

My family celebrated christmas differently this year. Normally, we would go to their friends' houses who  we're not even close to so I feel like this year was a bit more personal. I like it so much better than all the other celebrations we've had in the past.

Tis the season.

It's that time of year again. As much as I hate the cold weather, I do love warm coffee, layering, and the bright lights covering the christmas tree and decorations in NYC. Here are some photos I took from the window display of bergdorf goodman and other locations while walking down 5th Ave. It's always fun to stroll around and see the different holiday arrangements that make the city even more appealing- especially at night!

Even if you don't know how.

It's that time of year again, when we slowly start piling up our thick garments in time for this freezing weather. Matter of fact, I couldn't find any of my winter jackets so I borrowed my sister's fur jacket that she's never worn before and got many compliments today. I don't have anyone to take a picture of me wearing it so I'll have to remember to do that later. My mom is also letting me borrow this jacket for a few days and I really liked the plain suede collar design so I decided to share a few pictures with you guys along with other things that caught my attention while I was in my living room... I should get back to doing my homework now. Later! xx

Just a glimpse: Fashion Portfolio

Well, it's that time of year where seniors are developing their portfolio for their desired major. As for me, fashion design is something I want to major in. Sketching, tracing, coloring, are just a few techniques I used to complete the final looks for my fashion portfolio. I don't want to post all of them yet.. so here's just something that would most likely catch your attention. I'll post the rest soon! xx

Send me on my way.

As I was looking through my Iphoto albums, I saw pictures during the summer and remembered how much I miss the warm weather. Less layering, more skin and vibrant colors. Now that it's December, we're expecting heavy wind, snow, and of course the temperature to drop lower day by day. Not to mention, dry skin calling for lotion to moisturize. hah. Well, sometimes I love the cold weather only when I'm sipping on hot chocolate and listening to melodious songs. So that's why I made a new playlist that you're probably listening to now.

So here are some photos that I saw that made me miss wearing those shorts and low vnecks. But then again, I loved that oversized jacket from Neiman Marcus that I borrowed from my aunt back in Indiana.

Oh, by the way, I got really bored with my banner and decided to change it. I know they're not necessarily taken with a quality camera. In fact, I took it with my macbook on various days, but I liked the outfits I wore..... so was it a complete fail or just blah? Let me know guys! xx

Fann

These pictures were taken a while ago, when a photographer friend of mine Fann, asked me to help style a shoot for her portfolio. I was glad I went after shopping for Lanvin x H&M. Her theme was silver screen inspired so there were a lot of black and white dresses, polka dots, fitted, and vintage garments. I just wanted to share some photos I took during short breaks and hopefully I'll be able to add some of her work after her approval.

Lanvin x H&M: Photodiary

Me: Follow me on twitter. (@J_Camacho)

Unfortunately, I woke up too late because I was tired from partying the night before the release of this collaboration. All jokes aside, I'm quite content with my purchase. Yes, I wanted the metallic blue or even the bronze pair, but ended up with black. I love that even though they look basic, the structure of the heel is quite different from others. I showed them to my brother in law, and surprisingly, he also wanted a pair. My friend Audrey and I went to an H&M in 5th Ave. at around 1 and yet the line was still building outside of the store. It's crazy how many people have also lined up the night before. I mean, they did have appealing clothes that had fun prints especially the voluminous dresses for women. I just wish they sold more of everything, but we can't always have what we want now can we?

After visiting H&M, we walked to Columbus Circle hence the hanging lit star objects located above this entry. We also passed by stores such as Louis Vuitton and Forever21 that just opened recently on 5th Ave. Frvr21 is branching out everywhere making it accessible for many customers, hopefully the men's section makes an improvement soon. I just wanted to share with you guys a few photos of me and a few friends getting ready for a night out. Fabulous, no??
