Jeremy Laing Fall 2011

Jeremy Laing's construction method displayed a clear understanding of structure and draping. We get a slight sense of goth and glamour through the color tones ranging from deep olive green, charcoal, dark brown, as well as graphic prints from outer space. I love the hem of the skirts as they drape down the floor. The different necklines played a huge role in creating that overall "look"- some wore turtlenecks, while the rest wore button ups etc. The fabric he used also contribute to the sophistication of the collection, we saw jersey and velvet the most. Not to mention, the styling, hair and makeup made a great combination with the garments seen here.

  1. Damn you're lucky to go to these things and we're the same age ! Anyways, this collection is stunning. Love the textures, prints, and drapery so much.

  2. What a wonderful collection. The prints on the fabrics being especially interesting!

  3. one of my favorite collections - i love seeing the long, dramatic pieces that also work as basics. the colors and patterns are also fantastic!
